If you own a restaurant, café, care home or catering business, you need to ensure that all your staff, including waiting staff, are trained in food safety practices. If found responsible for a breach in the law, you could be prosecuted. In addition to being a legal requirement, food safety practices are important in protecting the health of both consumers and food handlers. MJ Training have a range of food safety courses, some of which include either a regulated, nationally recognised certificate or a non-regulated certificate being awarded.
Food Safety Courses
If you work with food either in a catering, retail or manufacturing environment, MJ Training can cover your training needs. We can deliver the Level 2 qualification in food safety in Catering, Retail or Manufacturing and these qualifications are nationally recognised and can be of benefit to anyone coming into contact with food. This includes pest control officers, delivery personnel, waiting staff, hotel cleaners and bar staff.
Not only do we provide food safety courses for those working directly in the preparation of food, we can also award our own Non-Accredited certificate for those who do not require the accredited certificate and tailor the course to the client’s specific requirements, saving on cost, but not compromising the course content in anyway.
We can deliver your food safety training course on site. We are based in Lowestoft and deliver training across East Anglia, including Suffolk, London, Norfolk and Essex. We are an approved Centre for Qualsafe Awards, an Awarding Organisation recognised by Ofqual to offer regulated qualifications.
Strong understanding of food safety practices
On successful completion of our course, the candidate will have a strong understanding of the importance of food safety. Contamination can occur anywhere between the field to fork process. So training includes correct food handling practices as well as ways to reduce the risk of contamination at all stages of the food chain. Legislation states that even if the food handler is only handles wrapped foods, they still must receive sufficient instruction.
MJ Training, Lowestoft, offers food safety training to clients at their venue anywhere in Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and London. Call us to book your course.
